Kamen Rider Build the Movie: Be the One (劇場版 仮面ライダービルド Be The OneGekijōban Kamen Raidā Birudo Bī Za Wan) is a 2018 Japanese superhero film, serving as the film adaptation of the 2017-2018 television series Kamen Rider Build, taking place between Episodes 45 and 46 of the TV series and featuring the debut of Kamen Rider Zi-O's titular protagonist. It was released in Japan on August 4, 2018, in a double billing with Kaitou Sentai Lupinranger VS Keisatsu Sentai Patranger en Film.

Plot[edit]

After the end of the civil war that tore apart Japan, Kengo Inō, Ryōka Saiga and Mitsuomi Gōbara, the new governors of Touto, Hokuto and Seito reveal a plan to reunify the country, but also declare that Kamen Rider Build is a threat and must be hunted down. Inō then brainwashes the citizens of Touto and send them after Sento. With even his close friends Misora and Sawa turned into enemies, Sento runs away from the mob chasing after him. Kazumi and Gentoku attempt to protect him, but are captured by Saiga, while Ryūga is attacked by Gōbara and Inō, who brainwash him as well. After escaping, Sento investigates and discovers that Inō, Saiga and Gōbara were part of Sōichi's astronaut crew who retrieved the Pandora Box from Mars, and realizes that they were possessed by alien monsters just like Sōichi was possessed by Evolto, but soon after, Inō appears and sends the brainwashed Ryūga to fight him, stealing the Hazard Trigger after he is defeated, but Evolto appears to stop Inō from killing Sento and escapes with him.

Once in a safe place Evolto reveals to Sento that Inō now has all the items necessary to destroy Earth except for the Pandora Box. Having lost all hope, Sento recomposes himself after remembering his father's words about how he must work together with Ryūga to save the planet. He then is contacted by Inō who demands him to hand over the Pandora Box. In the next day, Sento brings the Pandora Box to the governors, but instead of releasing Ryūga as promised, Inō uses the Hazard Trigger to fuse himself with Ryūga and the other two governors into Kamen Rider Blood. Despite using the Genius Fullbottle, Build is defeated by Blood, but in a last effort, he uses the Rabbit Fullbottle to extract Ryūga from Blood's body and restore him. In response, Blood activates the Hazard Trigger combined with the Pandora Box and starts digging a hole all the way to the center of Earth to destroy it.

Gōbara and Saiga attempt to stop Build from chasing after Blood, but Gentoku and Kazumi, who were rescued from prison by Utsumi, appear to confront them, while by using her powers, Vernage has Misora and Sawa regain their consciousness and temporarily fuses the Rabbit, Dragon and Genius Fullbottles into the Cross-ZBuild Can, which Sento uses to combine both him and Ryūga into Kamen Rider Build Cross-ZBuild Form. While Grease and Rogue destroy their opponents, Build chases after Blood and destroy him, returning the citizens of Touto to normal and Evolto rejoices as it was his intention all along to use the Kamen Riders to punish the other aliens for betraying him. After the battle, Sento's friends are disappointed that despite their efforts, the Kamen Riders are still viewed by most as a threat, but he has a little confort once a child and his older sister whom he saved previously appear to thank him.

After the credits, Sento is seen working on the white Pandora Panel when a gate suddenly opens before him, dragging him to an unknown location where he sees various Kamen Riders fighting their respective enemies, until Kamen Rider Zi-O appears before him and equips the Build Armor. After defeating all past villains with ease, Zi-O introduces himself to Sento, claiming himself as the Demon King with the powers of all Kamen Riders.
